Creating Our Own Empire

Welcome!

For the last two years we ran a business through a clothing company with a lot of competition. We learned many things, gained amazing friends and that all led us here. I became bored in the box of someone else's dream and thankfully with my husbands complete support, we made the jump to creating our own empire.

With a new business, there is so much to plan and think about. I am writing this about two months in the process. Not long at all but also feels like forever. All the things we were given in the box, are now ours to come up with and create. I thankfully learned of talented people to help us with our own dreams while working in the box. 

First was creating us. Creating our brand. Creating our Empire. Something fun about my husband and I. He is very traditional, very stable and secure. My Rock! I, on the other hand, am out of the box, modern and a little unstable. We balance each other perfectly. But when asking him for names and ideas to start this, he was picking very uninteresting normal boutique type names. I let him down easily while I was working on creating a name for our business that would stand out and alone.

I commute 11 miles and that 11 miles takes about an hour every morning and evening. Welcome to California. So while sitting on highway 29 looking out over the vineyards (we are in Napa County) Noelle James hit me. Two names which hold a piece of my heart for very different things. 

Another fun fact about us, we were supposed to have a girl. Our entire pregnancy, we were told a baby girl was inside of me. So, we picked our girls name, made the room and waited. SURPRISE is an understatement when we had a boy pop out. Anyway, Noelle would have been the middle name of the girl had we had what we were told. So the name stayed with me, seven years later.

James - James is a family name for me. My grandpa, my brother and my nephew are all named James. More importantly and why the name is part of the business, is my brother is a double cancer survivor. My hero for battling a battle no one should ever have to battle.

Noelle James. Two names which hold a lot of meaning for both of us created into building our own empire.
